Hello, Hope you are having a great day! Have we got a great topping for you starting at Seize the Birthday! Lindsey has asked us to ” Make Us Laugh.” Who doesn’t like to receive a card that makes you laugh! Such a great idea Lindsey! However, if that is a struggle for you, any Birthday card will do. The toppings are always optional. I made the above card for my sister as she just turned 60 on Tuesday. She really loved it! Especially the inside, which I have written for you above. I am the baby of the family and some say spoiled. LOL.
Shaker cards and I don’t always see eye to eye. I always get the stupid idea to add glitter or something of that nature inside and it sticks to the acetate and becomes all milky and that drives me crazy. Well, I did it again. However, I did manage to get the majority of it out this time. NOTE to SELF…Acetate and glitter do not work well together. Then I also decided at the very end, to add the 60’s, and not sure that was a wise idea either. What’s done is done! Stay tuned as sometime in the near future this MFT Shaker die set may be for sale really cheap. LOL Card was made with all MFT products! (Thanks to Barbara Campbell for bringing me the sentiments to let me use on her visit.)

Didn’t you just buy that shaker last Fall, Nancy? I thought you loved making those drink cards. The sentiment is perfect and I love the little ‘ice cubes’ in the glass.

What a cool shaker card. Although I no longer drink alcohol as it interferes with meds I would still get a kick out of a card like this.

Good to see how this card turned out. Super fun and a shaker card too. I heard that if you rub a powder pouch it will remove some of the static. This is a splendid birthday card.

Oh, and I was wondering – if you are adding glitter, maybe you could try dabbing some anti-static powder on the acetate before adding the glitter. Maybe that could help (remember seeing it Jennifer McGuire’s video somewhere – though I haven’t tried it myself)
