Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Birthday Wishes/Color Challenge

Hello, Happy Sunday! It’s Color Challenge time at The Paper Players and LeAnne has a great color combo for us. As I was thinking about what I was going to do with this color combo, and nothing was directly jumping out at me, I decided to CASE myself! That always helps when you are in a dilemma and don’t know what to do. For my card, I am using this digital stamp from Power Poppy called Cherry Blossom. I will say, the above card did not turn out as well as the first one that I have pictured below, plus I got a better photo of the yellow one as well. I would have re-taken the photo but it’s already sealed and on it’s way to the recipient. The birthday greeting is from Verve and I used Copics and Prismas as my medium.

Card of mine that I CASED!

I am also linking my card up over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge using the center row of Florals, Free , and Any Shape Die.

  1. Lovely card, Nancy! That is a beautiful image and I love the way you colored it. Pretty background too.

  2. I LOVE that you chose Merlot as your focal color…it’s perfect for these beautiful blossoms! And that background…gorgeous! Both your cards using this image are wonderful! Thanks for making my colors sing this week!

  3. That is so beautiful and I love those colors.

  4. The Merlot makes gorgeous blossoms Nancy and it reminds me of a beautiful Japanese Quince we used to have at our old house. Both your cards are pretty and I love seeing a stamp used in a slightly different way and with different colours. Vicky x

  5. So glad to see that you looked to your older creations for inspiration. You came out on top for this one.

  6. Your card is beautiful. I love the colors and that you copied a previous card of yours for inspiration. That always helps.

  7. Oh I think version #2 is just as lovely as the original! I love the blue dots for the sky and I’m envying the pink blossoms. This is sure to be a hit with the recipient!

  8. Not wishing to be contrary, I totally agree with Amanda – this card is every bit as beautiful as the original!! I’ve seen a few cards using dots in this way recently – I feel a CASE coming on! Very pretty indeed – and perfect for our TicTacToe board this week too!

  9. Wow, Nancy! This is absolutely stunning, every bit as beautiful as the original. I love the colors of the blossoms, and the dot background. A fabulous card!!!
