Squares at STB

Second post of the day, please scroll down for Color Hues!!

Hello, I hope you are having a great day! Today over at Seize the Birthday we have another challenge starting and our topping is squares. Remember if you don’t want to use the topping that is okay too, any Birthday card will do.

This is my third attempt for a card for this challenge as I wasn’t satisfied with the other two especially after I looked at my fellow Design Team members work. WOW! So as they say, third time is a charm!

Before I started making my card, I was on the look out for a color challenge to spark my creativity, and I found the perfect one at Global Design Project. I am hoping that my colors are close enough to the ones they have displayed and not too bright.

Before I get to the card details, We have a brand new Surprise Party Guest joining us over at Seize the Birthday for the next two months. Welcome, Lynda or whom you may know better as Loopyloo in blog land. We are super excited to have you designing with us!

Card Details: MFT- Bubble over with Joy, Square die is probably from Spellbinders but have had it for YEARS! I used both Prismas and Copics for coloring, I used Oxide inks for my background. The little flowers are from MFT too. The greeting is my go to from Verve.

The Design team at STB and our guest did a fabulous job with this topping! Come on over and check it out! Nanc’

  1. That is such a cute little scene. A great way to make use of a square image on an A2 card base.

  2. Thanks very much for the invitation to the party – I’m loving your cute bunny – and those colours are a dream xx

  3. Great scene you created with that cute bunny. Love it.

  4. Oh my Nancy – your sweet bunny and sponged background make your square a triumph!

  5. The third time is a charm, but I wonder what the other two look like as well. That bunny is perfect for this weekend of Easter and he is too cute as well. I love those bubbles in the design.

  6. This is an adorable scene Nancy, love how the bubbles repeat the circles in the square, (that sounds odd but you know what I mean lol!) Gorgeous colouring too, Happy Easter, Cathy x

  7. Oh my – how sweet is this card! That bunny made me smile

  8. What a sweet card, Nancy! Your diecut fancy square is perfect for the bubbles, and the bunny is gorgeous!

  9. How lovely! The soft colors and the cute bunny make a super sweet birthday card, Nancy! And I love the bubbles ❤️!

  10. Its so sweet! I love how you’ve kept background simple with the imbre for the cute bunny, and instead added some ‘extra’ with the die cutting. Beautiful idea to keep it simple, but make it special!

  11. This card puts a huge smile on my face – it is just so sweet and adorable. Great choice for the colours & love the bubbles floating out of the square. That square die is a perfect choice. Hugs my friend – hope you are well.
