Just Wanted to Say Thanks

Hello friends, I hope you are doing well. Today I have a thank you card using the new Floral Spray die set recently released from Spellbinders. I have paired that with other new products, such as the Nested Postage Labels and Dies. I also used the Picket Fence Die I picked up on the sale rack a few months ago. The sentiment is gold-foiled and is part of the Better Press set called New Beginnings Timeless Sentiments, which is also new.

I often use Spellbinders card stock when I can and I know the blue background is called Raindrop and the yellow is Saffron.

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below, I will receive a small commission, and also get to continue as an affiliate with Spellbinders at no cost to you. I certainly would appreciate any of your support! Thank you!

Feel Better Soon

Hello Friends, I am home from our fabulous Winecation in California. We had such an amazing time in Santa Cruz, Sonoma, and Napa. I think I have finally stopped tearing up every time I think about the family I left behind and the memories we made. It is going to take me a day or two to feel normal again, get my laundry done, food in the house, and adjust back to my time zone. Travel is hard when you are flying across the country and you’re not as young as you used to be. I always end up with a bit of vertigo and clogged ears when I return, not to mention pure exhaustion. Although, I would do it all over again next week if given the opportunity!

On the card front, I have SOOOO many things yet to share and make this month that it is a bit overwhelming but I am just going to take it one day at a time. So let’s get on with it, shall we?

This card has a mix of Spellbinder products. Once again I have used the new Woven Lattice Texture die that I just adore. Next, I pulled out the Fresh Picked Buttercups from a few months ago to go with it. I also brought out the Glimmer Hot Foil System and foiled my sentiment and the circle for some added interest. The Dou Lines Glimmer Circles sadly aren’t available anymore. I have linked what I can for you below.

I like this color combination and will definitely be using it again soon.

I will be linking up my card over at Addicted to Stamps and More for their Any Occasion Challenge.

I leave you with a few pictures of the so many we took on our “Leppek Winecation.” We did so much and even took in a Women’s Professional Soccer Game as my DIL loves the sport. I even went on a few rides at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. They have a wooden rollercoaster that is called the Giant Dipper. Boy oh boy, was that a little more than I bargained for and I have MASSIVE bruises to prove it. LOL

Above is Wine tasting at Gundlach Bundschu which was our favorite vineyard and tour. Below was a beautiful tasting at the Bartholomew’s Estate.

We wrapped up our 5 tastings at a gorgeous vineyard in Napa called Nickel and Nickel.

I hope you have a great day and an awesome week! Take care, Nanc’

Miss You

Hello, I am super excited to share with you a card that I made using the Petter Press Plate from the Copperplate Everyday Sentiments Collection. I have the opportunity to work with the plate-Miss You, but there are 6 different sentiments in the entire collection. I think the script on this plate is just so beautiful, and if you didn’t already know this, Better Press Plates can foil as well. Which is what I have done on today’s card. I love how elegant this card looks with gold foil.

A Few Card Details: As mentioned above, I hot-foiled my BP plate using Gold foil. Next, I decided to add some interest with the Nestled Hemstitch Rectangles Die set. The tulips, small flowers, and foliage are all from the Rain Boot Bouquet Die set and are inked for added details. The white bow is cut from white glossy cardstock and is from the Christmas Wreath Add-Ons Die set. A few gold paper gems and I was done. I am super pleased with how this card came together.

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below, I will receive a small commission, and also get to continue as an affiliate with Spellbinders at no cost to you. I certainly appreciate any of your support! Thank you so much!

So Grateful for You!

Hello friends, I hope you are doing well! This card was a happy accident and I will explain why!

I am once again playing with the Spring Magnolias Better Press Plates from Spellbinders. My plan was to color the flowers and die-cut them out after I foiled them, however, when I took them off the foiler and saw that they were perfectly placed and the sentiment was even straight, I thought why not leave it be! I mean it’s covered in pink foil, what is there not to love! I think the Nestled Hemstitch Rectangles really completed this card. I am not good with ribbon so my tie at the top works okay too.

Hello, As promised, I am back today with more from Spellbinders but this time I am using the Fresh Picked Buttercups from the Fresh Picked Collection that is part of the January release. I am certainly enjoying the vast amount of flowers they have this month. There are 4 different florals in this collection and some great bold Fresh Picked Sentiment Dies too. You will be seeing those great dies later on. I have a picture for you below of the entire bundle so you can see how fabulous it is. I am also using some Peach Sorbet Cardstock as well.

*Freshed Picked Collection Die Bundle

A Few Card Details: First, I cut the flowers out in white CS and took two Copic markers to give them a bit of color to match my Spellbinders Peach Sorbet Cardstock. Then I remembered I had this great pack of Vellum from Spellbinders that has a beautiful floral pattern on it, so I used that too. I also used the Nestled Hemstitch Rectangle dies as well. The sentiment is a BP plate that is foiled in gold. Lots of foam squares for dimension.

Spellbinders-January Embossing Folder of the Month

Hello, Happy Friday!

Today I am back showcasing another January Club product from Spellbinders. This time it’s the Embossing Folder of the Month called Branching Out. I already know this folder will be moving to the front of my EF stash as it’s so versatile. You can use leaves on just about any type of card. This time I paired it with one of my favorite die sets- Build a Wreath.

HERE is the page where you can get a peek at all of the clubs along with some amazing samples. The Club kits will be available for purchase by subscription starting on the 6th of the month and running through the 27th. However, quantities are limited so if you are interested don’t delay and or mark your calendar.

A Few Details: I had a hard time getting a good photo of this card so my apologies. I think it was the color scheme that made it so difficult. The dark maroon color kept coming out black. I used a mix of Spellbinder’s products for this card and have them all listed below along with my Fiskars Victorian Blade for my decorative edges. The sentiment was foiled in a beautiful lilac. I cut my flowers out in white and inked them with Oxide ink-Seedless Preserves and made them sparkle with a wonderful product mentioned below. I finished the card with my signature gold sparkle paper embellishments to match the center of the small flowers.

I wanted to take a moment and also share that I have this new product that was introduced to me by my friend Marcia. It’s called Sheer Shimmer Kraft Spray and it adds a sheen of sparkle to whatever you spray it on. It’s awesome! I have it linked for you! For this card, I used it on the flowers.

I certainly appreciate you stopping by! Have a great rest of your day and a wonderful weekend ahead. They predict rain tomorrow which is a good thing…more time to craft! I will be back very soon with another card!

Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’

Sending Birthday Wishes

Hello, I hope your day is off to a good start. I am still very much enjoying the new Build a Wreath dies from Spellbinders and Suzanne Hue’s. The possibilities with these sets are simply endless. Also, the stems and leaves in this set make it so easy to form a perfect wreath! For today’s Fall-inspired card, I had not yet used the pretty flowers and bow that came in this set, so that is what I have done here. Of course, I had to squeeze a bit of Autumn Wonders in as well. How could I not?

Few Card Details: The flowers and bow were all sponged for dimension using various inks. The sentiment is a BP set called Sentiments of Wonder that was foiled in gold. Had to add some bling with the Autumn Wonders stems and gold tips. Then I got the great idea to trim the bow in gold as well. Of course, no card is complete without my gold paper gems. This is one of those cards where when you pull it out of the envelope, fluffing of the flowers is required.

My card was inspired by the Color Throwdown as the colors are so gorgeous together. Along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge using the row; Wreath, Free, and Enamel Dots. It also works diagonally with Metallic, Free, and Leaves/Foilage.

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below, I will receive a small commission, and also get to continue as an affiliate with Spellbinders at no cost to you. I certainly would appreciate any of your support!

Repetitive Die-Cutting

Hello, It’s the 4th Thursday of the month and time for the next challenge at Seize the Birthday. I am the hostess for this challenge and I have chosen Repetitive Die-Cutting for my Topping. There are many different ways to achieve this and if you pop on over to Seize the Birthday you will see how my fabulous Design Team along with our guests were inspired. Speaking of guests, we still have Stephanie with us but today we also have Johanna joining us as well. She was the winner of our last challenge using our Topping. I am happy to have them both in our line-up!

Card Details: My card was totally inspired by the lovely and talented Yana Smakula and you can find her fabulous card Here. You will just need to scroll down a bit. Her card is so much prettier because she added glitter to the wings of her butterfly.

The Butterfly is from Pink and Main and I sponged it with Oxide Inks and used glitter on his body. The Hellos on the background are from MFT, and the dot EF is from SU. The greeting is from Spellbinders and was foiled in gold. Some twine and various gems and I was done.

I hope you will join us over at Seize the Birthday. Remember, the Topping is always optional…any Birthday card will do! See you there! Nanc’

Just a Note to Say Thanks

Hello, I am back from our Vacation! We had an absolutely fantastic time in Michigan, but we all know there is no place like home. It is all about the bed and the right amount of sleep, isn’t it? Dave and I aren’t overly excited about returning to the heat and my poor hubby’s lawn which he takes pride in is all dried up! But, what can you do when you don’t have a well you can program in your absence!

As I woke up this morning and was thinking about those poor people in Hawaii, it certainly made me realize all I have to be grateful for, and that we must be thankful for each and every day as you never know what tomorrow will bring. It happens to be my Birthday today, and I came home to a stack of birthday cards, which I will be opening this evening, so that is an extra bonus and certainly made me feel even more grateful!

Speaking of grateful…I am thankful to have come home to some new August 2023 Spellbinder products to create with, that you will continue to see as soon as I can get back to crafting! However, today’s card I managed to make right before I left. For this card, I am using two main products; Envelope of Wonder Etched Dies and the Sentiments of Wonder Better Press. Both are really fantastic and you never can have too many florals and or sentiments in my opinion.

Here is a pic of the card from the side so you can see that I made it in the shape of the envelope. I just adhered the envelope flap together so it would stand.

I had a terrific time putting this card together, and it was great because I was also able to use up so many scraps of paper that I can’t seem to throw away. The sentiment is linked above and below, and it was foiled in gold.

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below I will receive a very small commission, and also get to continue as an affiliate with Spellbinders at no cost to you. I certainly would appreciate any of your support!

Before I go I want to share just one picture with you from our trip! I am sure you will agree that meeting crafty friends in real life is truly something so very special. Below is a pic of Michele Ferguson and Marcia Hill and myself. Michele and I have met once before but this was the first time I got to meet Marcia. They are both as sweet as can be and we laughed and had a wonderful time catching up in Michele’s beautiful home. Michele and her terrific hubby Tom spoiled us with a wonderful lunch, butterfly and bird education classes, a scrumptious dinner, and a lovely night walk to one of the many Michigan Lighthouses followed my Norm’s Ice Cream! OMG! Michele is also an excellent cook. Tom is as talented as Michele and takes the most amazing photos with his Telescope. Hubby and Tom hit it off right away too.

Yes, Michele’s craft room is fabulous and so organized to boot.

I will be linking up with my friend Darnell over at NBUS today along with Happy Little Stampers, Anything Goes with Dies Challenge.

I certainly appreciate you stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day and find some time to be creative. It is time for me to unpack those suitcases and tackle laundry! Well, maybe not laundry on my birthday, that can wait till tomorrow! Take care, Nanc’

Handmade for You

Hello, I am back today with more Christmas in July with another card using these pretty Bottle Brush Trees Duo from Spellbinder’s Classic Christmas Collection. I am enjoying all the ways you can make simple but elegant scenes with these trees, especially with glitter paper.

Card Details:

First, I made my trees using green and gold glitter paper. Next, I made two snow banks using my very old Creative Memories Wavy cutter and blades. I have it pictured below in case you wanted to see what it looked like. It still works like a charm and I am glad I have hung onto it for 25+ years. After my trees were put together I splattered them with white paint. I hot-foiled the sentiment in gold and the little snowflakes are in the Noel die set. A few gold stars and gold centers on my snowflakes to tie everything together and I was done. Everything is listed below! A simple card that I think has a great punch!

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below I will receive a very small commission, and also get to continue as an affiliate with Spellbinders at no cost to you. I certainly would appreciate your support!

I am linking up with Christmas Craft Creations for their Anything Goes Christmas in July Challenge.

I am getting a good start on my Christmas cards, thanks to Spellbinders. Have you started yet? Every year I make a goal for myself to make 4 CC a month so that by November 30th I would have at least 44 completed, and I would have early December to finish them off. So far I have made 17 and should be at 28, so I am a bit behind schedule! Hopefully, I will catch up soon!

Take care, Nanc’
