Hello, I hope your day is off to a great start! We have a great topping starting today over at Seize the Birthday! The topping is rainbow colors. A couple of weeks or so ago I received this great new die and stamp set from SU called Celebrate Sunflowers and I thought this would be perfect to execute this idea I had rolling around in my head.
I may have made this a bit more time consuming than it needed to be as I cut my sunflower out first and then colored the petals with my SU watercolor brush and various inks. I thought I would have better control of the colors this way. I thought the bottom of the card needed something so I have this fun double scallop from MFT and of course, my go-to sentiment is Verve. I few SU enamel dots in primary colors and I was done. CAS is a challenge for me but this time I came out on top! LOL
I am joining is NBUS today too! Since this was the first time I used my sunflower set.
Please come see all the various types of rainbow designs over at Seize the Birthday and join us! Nanc’

What a great way to use a daisy die and have it look so different. On the black background, I thought at first that you used fluorescent colors. Whatever you did, I love it.

You know, there are times when the ideas are really simple, but they deliver the best results – this is definitely that. LOVE the rainbow sunflower – and that too, over a black background – its looking spectacular! What a gorgeous card, Nancy!

I got these dies recently too and I would have never thought to do this! What a brilliant idea! Love the rainbow on the black. The sentiment and the white scalloped strip are a perfect addition.
