Bunny Hugs and Easter Wishes

Hello friends, Happy Good Friday! Today I have an Easter card using the darling set from Simon Hurley and Spellbinders called Easter Bunnies. I paired that set with a cute stencil I got last year from Waffle Flower. I love that Bow background and it has been far too long since I got it out to play with.

After I stenciled my bows I started coloring those sweet bunnies and eggs using a mix of Copics and Prisma Colored Pencils. Then it hit me that I probably should ground the bunnies and make them a background. So, I decided to make some rolling hills and sky. I didn’t want to throw in a new color so I decided to stick with the teal hills and yellow sky. I love the way it turned out.

***My design rule of thumb is to try to stick with only three colors when I am creating and it seems most often that those are the cards that turn out the best. Remember, you can use any hue of those colors so it gives you more to work with than you might think.

I am playing along with my old Teammates at Just Us Girls for their Anything Goes Stencil Week. Next, over at Stencil Fun Challenge, their option is Easter/Spring. Last but not least, over at Addicted to Stamps and More for Any Occasion.

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below, I will receive a small commission, and also get to continue as an affiliate with Spellbinders at no cost to you. I certainly appreciate any of your support! Thank you so much!

  12. What a fun card. I love how the stencilled background while perhaps not “related” to your focal image, just goes so well because you used the same colors. Love that bunny on the left.
